''Cone of Shame'' Gets a Makeover

After dogs have surgery, they often have to wear a Cone of Shame--the title of various exhibits and a new book by photographer Winnie Au. These pictures, though, depict works of art.

In one instance, designer Marie-Yan Morvan made a multicolored necklace of sponges. In others, the texture and color of her creations are a perfect match for the subjects. Such is the case with a Bedlington terrier, wearing wool pom poms.

Other materials include eggshells, coffee filters, faux fur, silk flowers, and aluminum foil. 

Au's own pet, a basset hound, is included in the book.
