GrungeFest in July

Tributes to Chris Cornell, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Alice In Chains are planned for the 13th of July in Webster, Massachusetts. 

The former is actually an ''anthology,'' as Say Hello II Heaven is dedicated to the late singer's work in Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Audioslave, as well as his original music. 

Doors open at 11 a.m., with the show kicking off at noon.

The venue for the Pike GrungeFest is the Indian Ranch Amphitheatre.

Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 8th. On the other hand, the Insiders Club presale begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. and runs through 10 p.m.

It costs $149 to join--and like most everything else, the price recently went up.

The   Florida Museum of Photographic Arts  in Tampa currently has a show which offers a look at both fans and performers. It's called  Fandom . The images are from photojournalist  Jay Nolan . He told the  Guide  that there are 27, with acts including  U2, Henry Rollins , and the  Cro-Mags . They are accompanied by a collection of concert posters and other memorabilia, courtesy of former  Virgin Entertainment   executive  Dave Alder .  The  FMOPA  exhibition will be up through the second of March, and a talk with Dave is scheduled for the 9th of January.  Alder is also a musician. Lightfoot's Memorabilia

A popular performer's amplifiers, writing desks, clothing (shirts, vests, blazers, and jeans) and turquoise bracelet are going on the auction block next month. Also featured will be a variety of guitars owned by  Gordon Lightfoot . That includes the  Gibson  he used while writing  Sundown .   In addition, the sale offers photos and awards.  Gary Shrum , director of entertainment and music memorabilia at  Heritage Auctions , felt honored to work with Gordon's estate, as they have a ''deep love'' for the songwriter and brought in ''amazing personal pieces.''
