Trolls in Tupper Lake
A Danish artist is bringing his monumental trolls to the Adirondacks next year. The display opens on the first of June.
Thomas Dambo, whose pieces consist of recycled wood, aims to explore the human relationship to nature. Six of his sculptures are to grace Tupper Lake's Wild Center.
Marketing Director Nick Gunn told the Art and Music Guide that the center is about five hours north of New York City, and two and a half hours south of Montreal, Canada.
Nick says that Thomas will participate in some public speaking events.
He also shared a fascinating video in which Thomas discusses his background (which has included working as a rapper) as well as why he thinks trolls are ideal for his environmental and sustainability message:
