''Vacancy to Vibrancy''

Artists in Long Beach, California, will soon revitalize empty downtown storefronts. It's part of a new program, led by the Department of Economic Development & Opportunity

The creatives are invited to apply via the Vacancy-to-Vibrancy website. The deadline is the 15th of January.

This is also where property owners can apply for free vinyl window wraps with designs inspired by the area's neighborhoods, culture, and history.

Preference will be given to long-term vacancies along key commercial corridors. The goal is to attract new tenants [the art will be removed once the property is leased] and deter vandalism.
