Exhibit to Celebrate Food And Creativity

A food-related display is slated to open in Ludington, Michigan, this fall.

Painters, photographers, sculptors and other artists are invited to apply. However, there's an entry fee of thirty dollars (for up to two pieces).

Andrew Skinner, Executive Director of the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, explained that the fee helps support their general operating costs.

''These operating costs include not only the presentation of monthly exhibitions but also year-round arts programming that  benefits our community. This includes youth-oriented initiatives such as our After-School Art-Ventures program which provides area children with a safe, creative. and enriching place to go after school.''

Andrew also told the Guide this will be LACA's first food-oriented show, but they regularly offer engaging themes. Whether it's Hot Topics or Cut, Paste, Create: A Collage Exhibition, the center has managed to bring artists together ''from across the country and beyond, creating meaningful conversations and exciting visual experiences for our community.''

Chew on This opens in October. The deadline for entries is the 30th of August.
