Slash And Duff

Guns N' Roses may not be on tour now, but that's not stopping a couple of longtime members from hitting the road.

Duff McKagan, whose third solo album, Lighthouse, came out in October 2023, has announced a European trek. It kicks off in Dublin, Ireland, on the 30th of September.

The bassist plans to play 15 cities in 11 countries.

Duff considers the songs on his latest disc to be ''simple punk songs without me screaming.'' It starts with ''an ode to my wife'' and ends with ''an ode to to life.''

Guests on the album include Jerry Cantrell and Slash

Slash, incidentally, is on tour with Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators through the 29th of the month. He is releasing his sixth solo album on the 17th of May, and it's full of blues classics (although the guitarist wrote one original song, which is an instrumental), and collaborations with A-listers. Besides names like Iggy Pop, Paul Rodgers, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, Demi Lovato, Chris Stapleton, and Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, a couple of old Blues Ball bandmates are on board.

Tracks on Orgy of the Damned range from Howlin' Wolf's Killing Floor to Fleetwood Mac'Oh Well. The former features AC/DC's Brian Johnson on vocals and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler on harmonica.

Slash will be touring in support of the record, and the lineup for his Serpent Festival may change. However, players are expected to include the Warren Haynes Band and Robert Randolph

In addition, some proceeds will go to charity, with War Child among the beneficiaries.
